How to lower your electricity bill...

One of sure ways to save on water and electricity bill is washing/drying clothes smartly.

Laundry clothes separation and storage:

  1. Store soiled laundry per person rather than mixing all. You can use pop-up mesh bags, these are very economic and clothes can breathe, making less odour. More over this is more hygenic.
  2. Wait until to a full size load, try not to wash half loads, full loads are always better.
  3.  How to load the washing machine:
    • First , put the detergent powder in the washer drum and select the load size , wash cycle. Now switch on the machine after some water comes into the washer then stop the process by just simply pushing the button down.
    • Choose cold water option unless you need warm/hot cycle for linens etc.
    • Now load to full size load.
    • After finish the loading clothes then start the machine by closing the washing machine lid.

Benefits:

  1. It's very healthy and hygienic for the kids and adults.
  2. You don't need of search/sort clothes by person.
  3. Easy to fold and store in each one's  closet.
  4. You are loading full load so, you will get less water bill and also electricity bill.
  5. Due to the opting the cold water clothes are never damage and less electricity bill because you are not heating the water.

That's it ...thanks for watching.

Save your walls from kids paintings/ decorate your room walls..

Being an apartment dweller and with kids one of the most constant problem we have faced is kids scribbling, drawing on walls. While I don't want to curb their enthusiasm, I am also worried about repainting walls or possible fines from landlords.

While re-painting or wall papering are possible solutions both involve money, time and effort.

When I looked around found some interesting options and wanted to share with all.

These are called Temporary Papers (http://tempaperdesigns.com/), works just like regular wall papers but you have choice of sticking them wherever you want , peel them back and put any where else you want. I found it really useful to take out the labor part of regular wall papers. Moreover they some in different colors, kids friendly designs and even you can turn your kids favourite design to tem wall paper.

You can use your imagination to use these tem papers such as but not limited to kitchen, kids rooms, living rooms etc.

Below is a demo video to get your self familiar... Hope you all like it....comments welcome!!!.
