Homemade potato fries / Bangaladumpa Vepudu / Potato Fry/Patata fry/ Mǎlíngshǔ fry



Kids love potatoes.It is very simple and easy, with in 10 minutes you can  make it ready.

Ingredients:

  1. Potatoes-4,
  2. Ghee(clarified butter) / Oil- 2TSP.
  3. Turmeric powder - 1/2 TSP,
  4. Basil leaves-1/2 TSP,
  5. Parsley leaves- 1/2TSP,
  6. Salt - 1/2 to 3/4  TSP( according to taste)
  7. Red chilli powder - 1/2 TSP or less (according to taste)
  8. Dhaniya(la) powder- 1/2 TSP,
  9. Jeelakara/Cumin powder-1/2 TSP,
  10. Pan and Lid.

Method:

  • Cut the potatoes in small cubes.

  • Warm the pan and put oil in it .Put your stove in low/medium

  • After warming oil put chopped potato cubes in the pan.

  • Make sure that oil is spread to all cubes.So, stir it nice and gentle.



  • Put a lid for some time like 3 minutes,make sure doesn't burn.



  • When potato cubes were turn in to transparent , add salt,turmeric powder stir it nice and gentle , if you do it harsh cubes will get mashed.

cover the pan with the lid for 3 min.

Now look at the color and also focus on sound.If you feel color is just turned in to transparent gold and sound is nice crispy then add remaining powders one by one and stir well gently or shake the pan(according to your convenience).


Now don't put the lid so that they will be in nice crispy state.If you put lid the water from 
steam  comes in to the pan and it becomes soft like boiled potato curry.

If you like you can sprinkle the chopped kotthimeera/coriander leaves.

That's it...Kids love it very much ...this tastes awesome..like homemade potato fries are always fresh and healthy...
