Ingredients:
- Rice flour-2 cups
- Buttermilk-4 cups
- onion-1 chopped
- Dhaniya powder/Coriander powder-1/2 tbsp
- Basil powder-1/4 tbsp
- Parsley powder-1/4 tbsp
- salt- 1and half tbsp or according to your taste
Seasoning items:
- Oil-2 tbsp
- Shenaga pappu/Bengal gram- 1/2 tbsp
- Aavaalu/ Mustard seeds - 1/4 tbsp
- Cumin seeds or cumin seed powder-1/2 tbsp (if you are using cumin seeds you have to put in seasoning-starting of the recipe,if you are using cumin powder you have to put at the middle of the recipe.)
- Green chilli/Green mirchi- 1or 2 according to your spicy level
- Curry leaves- 5 or 8
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
The above item are seasoning items.These are common for most of the recipes.
Method:
- First take a bowl and pour 2 cups of Rice flour in to it.
- Take 4 cups of buttermilk.Now add little little amount to the rice flour and stir every time you add buttermilk.
- Avoid lumps if any. see picture below.
- cover that batter lid and Put aside.
5.Take a bowl and put ready the onions, curry leaves and greenchilli /green mirchi like in the picture.
6.Put ready the seasoning items also.
7.Now take a pan and put oil .After oil gets warm drop one by one seasoning items like this
8.Now add the rice flour batter to the pan.
9.Stir nicely until water evaporates like the below picture.the flour should not touch the pan.This is the time you switch of the stove.
